How is Balade jewelry made?

The jewelry we design is crafted by a Polish company with many years of experience in the jewelry industry. This way, we support the Polish economy and local businesses, and orders reach customers within a few days.

What is Balade jewelry made of?

Each of our products is stamped with a silver hallmark (AG 925), which guarantees the high quality and authenticity of the material. The silver used in our jewelry is nickel-free, minimizing the risk of allergic reactions.

How do you set product prices?

The price of our products is influenced by factors such as the market value of silver, the complexity of the design, the weight of the silver used, the labor cost of the artisans, eco-friendly packaging, and the costs of running the business. Our prices reflect the true value of our products, considering the high-quality silver, precise craftsmanship, and attention to detail at every stage of production

How is Balade jewelry packaged?

Balade jewelry is carefully packaged in our minimalist, eco-friendly packaging with an embossed logo, made from certified materials. For special occasions, we also offer gift-wrapping options.

How should I care for your jewelry?

Processes like tarnishing, dullness, or discoloration of jewelry can be significantly delayed and minimized with proper care:
– Silver jewelry should not come into contact with detergents or cosmetics. Avoid direct application of lotion, deodorant, or perfume.
– It’s not recommended to bathe while wearing jewelry. If it happens, make sure to dry it thoroughly.
– Store jewelry in a dry, shaded place with limited air exposure—ideally in a soft pouch (like our drawstring bag) or a zip-lock bag placed inside a wooden box.
– Clean your jewelry regularly.
– Remove jewelry before going to sleep

How do I clean silver?

Silver naturally oxidizes, so if you notice discoloration on your silver jewelry, it’s a result of contact with sulfides found in air, sweat, or cosmetics. You can easily remove silver oxides using a soft cloth and either a household remedy or a professional product, such as jewelry cleaning wadding for silver, gold, and gold-plated items—available in our offer.

Does the gold layer on gold-plated jewelry wear off?

The gold layer covering the jewelry is prone to wearing off over time, which is a natural result of use. For some, this process is slower, while for others it may happen faster depending on the activities performed while wearing the jewelry. Under the gold layer is silver, which will begin to show through over time. This is why gold-plated items require care. Gold plating lasts longest on earrings (due to less direct contact with sweat, cosmetics, or other jewelry), while rings are more prone to faster wear since we use our hands actively throughout the day.

What is the thickness of the gold layer on gold-plated products?

Our products are coated with two layers (a base and a finishing layer) of 18-karat gold with a thickness of 0.4 microns to ensure greater durability. The plating is a professional process carried out by our experienced artisan partner.
